Clubs

iTeam-Will have its first meeting after school on Thursday. Please meet outside of the library at 2:30.

CRAFT CLUB-There will be Craft Club today after school. If you did not sign up you can still join the fun. Just show up. You must be creative and a little eccentric

CLAY CLUB-Clay Club begins Thursday after school in A108. Sign up today.

Election ’08-This November 3rd will be election day for the students and staff of GMS. Monday afternoon in the Library there will be poster making. This is your chance to tell other classmates who to vote for. All are welcome.

NATIONAL HISTORY DAY-All 7th graders who are interested in joining the National History Day Team will meet in the library during the first 10 minutes of SSR.

MATH TEAM-Want to challenge yourself? Join the Math Team. Any 7th & 8th graders are welcome. Practices start next week on Tuesday from 7-7:30 am in Mrs. McAtee’s room (A200).

STUDENT COUNCIL DANCE – Come join us at the dance this Friday, October 3rd from 7-9. There will be a DJ and lots of great food. The cost is only $5.00 and tickets can be bought at lunchtime on Friday. Buy your ticket at lunch and be entered into the free drawing for a cool prize, one for each grade level. Come and have FUN.

Sports

FIELD HOCKEY-The 7th grade field hockey team defeated King Middle School 8-2. Goals scored by Megan Dunlap, Mylie Cyrus, Hanna Southard, Taylor Swift and Hanna Linscott with assists by Ashley Keating and Rebecca Amell. Great offense played by Lucky Charms and Sam Doughety. GREAT TEAM WORK GIRLS. Sweatshirt/pant orders are due today. Practice after school today.

The 8th grade field hockey team defeated King Middle School yesterday 5-2. Outstanding job in the goal by Patty Smith and Lydia Storey. Goals were scored by Ellie Lavoie, Jaime Hanson, Shannon Secord and Evelyn Vierne scored two goals. Great job on defense by Celeste Carpenter and Marissa Rush. Practice today at 2:30.
