Girls Soccer-The 7th grade Lady Rams concluded their season in victory with a triumphant 3-0 win over Lyman-Moore Monday on the posh green soccer fields enveloped by a cornucopia of crisp autumn colors beaming from the fiery surrounding tree leaves. Swift, lightening-like goals were scored via the thundering 1-2 punch of the Cushing Twins featuring assists from Paige “Rattle the Cage” Lemieux and Emily “Bazooka” DeLuca. Hearty plays were on hand from many players including Katelyn Wilson, Sam Robinson, Heather Fields, and Haley Perkins. In fact, Jess “Tyrannosaurus Rexrode” was able to overcome a splitting headache and push her way through both offensive and defensive positions. Congratulations and a job well done ladies, you got the skills to pay the Bills…..

8TH Grade Girls…..The girls 8th grade soccer team did an outstanding job yesterday with a whole team effort against Lyman-Moore, who had an undefeated record this season. Gorham scored first with a goal from Erin Smith assisted by Kali St. Germain. Haley Cunningham & Sarah Fogg did a great job on defense and Abby Hodgkins “who not only runs faster than a dog” took one for the team by deflecting a goal with her body. Libby Andreason, Shannon Folan, Haley Morin & Lindsay Chapman worked the field feverishly in an effort to take the lead while Morgan Lapin, Taylor Plasz, Grace Bourgault & Emily VanSteemburg tried to execute a goal. K.B. (a.k.a. Kristen Braley) worked hard to keep us in the game, while Marissa Roberts & Katelyn SeeHusen were sorely missed due to their back injuries from a tough soccer season. Sam Cupps did a phenomenal job in goal, not only yesterday, but throughout the year. Congratulations – girls you had a great season.
