Clubs

Ping Pong Club – There will be Ping Pong Club today.

Ski Club – There is a sign up sheet on the cafeteria window for Ski and Snowboard Club. Please sign up if you are interested.

Craft Club – A sneak preview of the crafts the Craft Club is selling at the show this Saturday are in the library. All profits go to low income heating assistance and the Gorham food pantry.

Band – Wednesday band classes.

Honors Chorus – There is practice for anyone auditioning for 7th & 8th grade Honors Chorus today @ 10:50.

Other

Halloween Dance-Don’t forget Halloween Dance after school on Friday 2:30-4:45. There will be a costume contest, DJ, movie and food. Don’t forget to buy your ticket at lunch on Friday.

Magazine Drive next turn in day will be Thursday, Oct. 23. The top salesperson so far is Milan Vidovic who has won a safe.Turn in 2 or more orders & earn a WeeGull Weepu. Top $$ Seller on Thursday w/7 or more sales wins the Sparkle Speakers. High Sales for day 1 goes to Mrs. Tassey’s 8th grade class-they get the Big Daddy Ninja. The Ozzie Mascot goes to Ms. Rubin’s 7th grade class for the most filled out postcards. The $25.00 Postcard Booklet Winner is 6th grader Andrew Johnson. You can still turn in your Postcard Booklets and earn the Trick Wallet and Excuse Machine.

Student Mock Election-This November 3, we will have mock elections at GMS. Any staff that can help please contact Forrest by email at GMSelection@gmail.com. We need at least six people at a time. All it will require is counting ballots and giving ballots to students. Staff who want to help with the elections, please sign up at the office on the sheet near the mailboxes. Thanks.

How To Vote:

*Step 1, Walk into the voting room and get a ballot.
*Step 2, Walk into the voting booth and have one marking per section on the ballots.
*Step 3, Once done, walk to the desk and hand your ballot to the person as you leave.

Remember: No talking while voting
No looking into other voting booths
No names on the ballot

Sports

Girls Soccer – The 7th grade Lady Rams held Mahoney to a 1-1 tie yesterday afternoon. However the chilly temps weren’t enough to prevent Courtney “Rocket Goal” Roberts from blasting the ball by Mahoney’s goal keeper with an assist from Abby Laporte. Olivia Curtis also played a heavy role in keeping the Raiders at bay by blocking a terrifying penalty kick during the 2nd half. Not too shabby ladies, not shabby indeed.
