Clubs

Join the Movie-Appreciation Club. In this club, you will watch and talk about movies, find movie bloopers, and learn how moviemakers created movie magic. If you want to join the Movie-Appreciation Club, come down to Mrs. Whitaker’s room at 11:45 on Friday, November 14th. Club starts Tuesday, December 2nd. If you have any questions contact Greg Farrington in the sixth-grade wing.

There will be Dance Club today 2:30-4:00. Please arrange for a ride home as there is no late bus today.

Music

Band-Friday band classes.
8:05 Monhegan woodwinds, brass & percussion
8:30 Monhegan & Eagle beginners
10:50 No percussion ensemble. We’ll do it next week. Any
band students who would like to practice are welcome
during this period.

Chorus today is for all Sopranos and Baritones.

Other

National Mix It Up Day-Today is National Mix It Up Day. Our school will be participating in this because it is a good way to meet new friends and cross social boundaries. On Friday during your grade level lunches, we will mix it up and take new seats in the cafeteria for one day. Remember, “Together we stand, divided we fall.”

The Geography Bee is back. The preliminary rounds begin December 1. Sign up for this great event is on the cafeteria wall. School winner gets a medal; an atlas; a $100.00 savings bond; and a chance to go to the State Bee in April. Sign up today. See Mr. Carpenter for details.

Please check the Lost & Found table across from the Gymnasium. Lunch boxes, water bottles, sweatshirts, coats, shoes, reading books are in the collection. All remaining Lost & Found items will be donated to Goodwill just before Thanksgiving.

The dance tonight will be from 7-9 pm. The dance proceeds help sponsor Seussical Musical Junior. Remember no heels, but you must wear shoes. It’s only $5.00. Be there. You can buy tickets at your grade level lunch today............Also, a reminder to those students who have served 3 detentions of any kind since the last dance are not allowed to come to the dance. If you are unsure of your record, come to the office and ask. Anyone who has served a inschool or out of school suspension since the last dance are also not allowed to come to the dance.

Auditions for “Once Upon a Mattres” will be held thursday, December 4th & Monday, December 8th from 2:30 - 4:00 in the GMS Auditorium. The sign-up sheet is on the lobby window.
