Student Council-No Student Council today. Only the students attending the tour of the shelter need to meet in the cafeteria at 2:00.

Civil Rights Team-Just a reminder to all available Civil Rights Team members to meet in Ms. Rubin’s room after school today to plan and make posters.

Geography Bee-The geography bee is back. The preliminary rounds begin December 1. Sign up for this great event is on the cafeteria wall. School winner gets a medal; an atlas; a $100.00 savings bond; and a chance to go to the State Bee in April. Sign up today. See Mr. Carpenter for details.

National Mix It Up Day-Friday, November 14th is National Mix It Up Day. Our school will be participating in this because it is a good way to meet new friends and cross social boundaries. On Friday during your grade level lunches, we will mix it up and take new seats in the cafeteria for one day. Remember, “Together we stand, divided we fall.”

Basketball Tryouts-Start today, November 10, 2008
7th grade boys @ 2:30
8th grade boys @ 3:30
7th grade girls @ 4:30
8th grade girls @ 5:30

If you have the 4:30 or 5:30 practice, you must go home after school and return for tryouts.

Cheerleading-Cheerleading starts today for all 6th graders. Practice will be from 2:30-4. Make sure to have a ride or you can take the late bus home. 7th & 8th graders have practice on Wednesday.
