Clubs

Dance Club-There will be Dance Club on Friday from 2:30-4:00. This practice is mandatory. If you can’t attend, please notify Meaghan Gilbert.

Music

Chorus-There is mandatory practice for everyone in Chorus today in the auditorium.

Band-Thursday band classes.

Once Upon A Mattress-Today is the first day of auditioning. Those students who want to try out for a speaking part, must turn in their permission slips to Mrs. McAtee to stay after school today. If you do not have your permission slip in today, make sure you do this before Monday’s audition day. All students who want to be a part of the ensemble do not need to audition.

Other

Picture Day-Picture re-takes are Wednesday, December 10th. There are information packets available in the office.

Civil Rights Team-Civil Rights Team will meet next Tuesday during all lunches in Ms. Rubin’s room. The meeting for today has been cancelled.

Talent Show Tryouts-It’s that time of year again. Talent Show tryouts will be next Monday and Tuesday after school. Sign up sheets will be posted outside the cafeteria until Friday.

Math Team-Gorham Math Team competed in the first of three meets in the Southern Maine Math League last Tuesday. Our team scored in the upper half and earned a strong score of 70. The Southern Maine Math League consists of 25 schools and Gorham’s team came in 10th place. Great job team.

Congratulations to all.   For the second year the 6th graders averaged higher scores. They will compete on January 8th at 7pm for the school title.  The winner recieves a $100.00 savings bond, an atlas, a medal and will take the state level qualifying test.
