Boys Basketball-A shout goes out to the 8th grade Gorham Ram men’s basketball team for competing in a hard fought season. This winter saw some truly epic battles in the angry, frothy seas of middle school hoops. In fact, Sports Illustrated is reporting that the team had the #1 best warm-up mixes in the country. Very nice…..Congratulations to all, and good luck next year up at the high school.
The 7th grade Gorham Ram boys laid the smack down on Lyman-Moore in a blistering 45-34 victory to cap off a perfect 13 and 0 basketball season. Nick “They’re Grrrrreat”orex had the game of his life rackin’ up a whopping 25 points. According to some spectators, there was chatter in the stands about Nick possibly being mobbed by screaming girls begging for his autograph. The man/the myth Eddy Weymouth fired up the first half with some spicy moves chippin’ in 12 points. Jon Woods and Frank-the-Tank Poppalardo showed off their Spiderman speed and reflexes to break the stifling Lyman-Moore press. Austin “The Birthday Boy” Bell shocked the Falcons as he shutdown one of the best players in the league with a ninja-like defense, and later went home to stuff his face with cake and ice-cream. So folks, when it comes down to brass tacks, there’s no denying that the parents, the fans, and the ladies in the house just can’t get enough of the team’s rockstar mentality!
