Music

Band-Friday band classes:
8:05 Monhegan woodwinds, brass & percussion
8:30 Monhegan & Eagle beginners
11:15 All District 7th & 8th Honors Band students
11:45 All band students meet in the auditorium. Todays the kick off for the cookie dough sale.

Chorus-There is Chorus today for everyone singing at the game on Sunday. Eat first lunch and come to the auditorium at 11:15. All Chorus members need to come to a brief Cookie Dough meeting at 11:45.

Geography Bee-Congratulations to all of the Geography Bee Finalists! Last night was fun but a tough competition. 2nd place winner for Justin Reyes and our champion was 6th grader John Ennis! Congratulations guys!

DANCE-Reminder there is a dance tonight 7-9. You can purchase tickets at lunch time. Anyone who purchases tickets early will be entered into a drawing for a special prize!

Dance Club-Dance Club this week:
Tuesday from 10:50-11:45
Thursday during tutorial from 10:50-11:45; and
Friday during tutorial AND after school until 4:00!

Sports

Girls Basketball-Our 7th Grade Lady Rams beat Mahoney yesterday. The final score was 25-18. Samantha Robinson, Rachel Bragg and Jessica Rexrode each got one point. Sam Doughty and Lauren Stiles each scored 2 points, along with Bailey Drouin’s 4. Katie Tucker and Meghan Cushing had a combined total of 12 points. Excellent defense by Morgan Cushing, Shelby Stack, Lindsay Babcock, and Emily DeLuca. Great game girls. Feel better Sam.

Girls Basketball continued…Yesterday the 8th Grade girls defeated Mahoney 33-13. The girls had a very well balanced offense with 8 girls scoring for Gorham. Kristen Ross & Shannon Secord led the scoring with 12 & 9 points. Valencia Jordan, Erin Smith, Mary Redmond, and Patty Smith all played excellent defense.

Boys Basketball-7th Grade boys basketball practice will be held today at 4:30. 8th Grade boys practice is at 5:00. No players should be hanging out in the halls until practice.
