8th Grade Celebration Information

Slide Show: Mrs. Joyce is accepting jpeg files of baby pictures, group pictures, and older-child pictures of this year's 8th graders via email. Please send jpeg's to Patricia_Joyce@gorham . k12. me. us

Mrs. Smutz will scan photographs for students who do not have jpegs.

Car Wash: May 16, 3 PM, at RiteAid, a fundraiser car wash.

Fundraiser Dance: June 5, 7 to 9 PM, at GMS, a fundraiser dance.

Celebration: June 18th, as people enter the baby picture slide show will be running, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6 PM. Seating is limited to the side bleachers with limited handicapped seating in chairson the gym floor.

GMS dress code applies to 8th grade students' graduation outfits. Shirts with colars and long pants for the boys, and dresses of appropriate length and coverage for the girls.

The ceremony will include welcomes, songs, 3 speeches by graduating 8th graders, and the idstribution of summer reading books from GHS.

June 18th, from 7 to 9 PM, a dance will be held in the GMS cafeteria for GMS 8th graders only. No guests from other grades, or other school will be allowed. Parents of the graduating students will be the chaperones for this dance. A resource officer will also be present.

Last Day of School: June 19th, no school for the graduates, however, all 6th & 7th graders must be present.
