HOMEWORK CLUB
Homework Club is an after school activity for students. The intent is to give students a safe, comfortable environment in which to complete their homework. Homework Club has a structured atmosphere and is a place where students can receive extra guidance with their work. The Club is meant for students who would otherwise have difficulty going home or to the library to do homework. There are two to three educational technicians available to assist the students during Homework Club.

Students come to Homework Club prepared with their homework written down in their planners and all the books and papers they may need to work through out the hour and half time period. They are not allowed to go back to their classrooms and or lockers. Each student must have an independent reading book with them to read when their work for the day has been completed. Students meet in the cafeteria, when walkers are dismissed, to have a snack, drink and to use the bathroom.

Homework Club is not meant for students who cannot work independently or who need one on one attention, nor is it meant for students with behavior issues. Proper behavior is expected.

Students may be signed up by a parent, teacher or students may refer themselves. All referrals need to be put in writing on an official form that can be found in the office. Homework Club is offered 3 days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00. Students may take the late bus home at 4:00 or be picked up by a parent. If a parent picks up a student before 4:00, they must come up to Homework Club (room 208) to sign their child out. Walkers may not leave earlier than 4:00, unless signed out by a parent.
