THE DEC

Welcome to the Digital Educational Center!

Our new center is staffed by Technology Integrator, Terri Dawson with appearances by Mike Nash, and the rest of the Technology Dept.

The center provides a friendly space for students and faculty to get assistance on technology related issues relating to hardware, software and curriculum.

Quick DEC Facts:

· All students will be required to fill out and return an Acceptable Use policy Form before they can be issued a laptop

· Sept 14th & 15th (6-7:30pm) All parents are required to attend one of the MLTI meetings or make appropriate arrangements to sign the MLTI forms in order for students to take their laptops home. Bob Riley, Ted Sharp and Terri Dawson will facilitate this meeting. The intention of the meeting is to discuss Internet Safety and appropriate use of the MLTI device for parents and students. Optional insurance forms will be available at that time.

· Every GMS student will have the opportunity to receive a laptop.

· Students may bring computers home.

· Replacement batteries will be available in the DEC for students that do not have their laptop charged.
