Music

There will be no Chorus this week due to the MEA schedule.
Congratulations to all 7th and 8th grade honors festival students for an amazing concert last night in South Portland. Great Job Everyone!

Due to MEA’s the band classes this morning are cancelled.

Sports

Due to the importance of the MEA’s, which are being taken this week, and the need for all students to be well rested, the ski/snowboard club make-up session has been postponed until next Monday night, March 17th.

Congratulations to the 6th grade boys travel basketball team for winning the Championship over the weekend for the 2nd year in a row.

Coach Wilkinson and Coach Bennett are allowing a last chance to join the track team today. Practice today at 2:30. You must see Coach Wilkinson in A214 before the end of school today if you want to join.

Gorham Lacrosse sign ups are this Wednesday, March 12th, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Gorham Middle School conference room. If you missed the first sign up please come this Wednesday.

Other

Any 6th or 7th grader interested in going to Augusta on March 26th to attend the State National History Day competition can still register. Please sign up on the Blue poster board on the cafeteria window!

Congratulations to Forrest for qualifing as a State finalist for the National Geograhic Geography Bee. He will compete on April 4th at USM in Portland for the State title. Way to go Forrest!

Power Up will meet today in Ms. Ridge’s room (B216 – 7th grade wing) from 2:30 to 4:00. Everyone is welcome.

“You Ain’t Nothing But A Were Wolf” rehearsal is for all participants today.

ASL Club is cancelled for today.

Math Team will meet this Wednesday as planned.

The Books Are Fun display is now located in the library. Orders and money due Tuesday afternoon, March 11th.
