Gorham Middle School Daily Announcements, Thursday, June 5, 2008
There is jazz improvization during tutorial today so we can work on “song for my father” for our Tuesday concert. Students who need to work on their solos see Mrs. Mathieu after 8:30. We’re starting to sort and put away music. All music for concert band & wind ensemble needs to be turned in by Friday.
Seventh Grade baseball practice today at 2:30. Home game tomorrow vs. Massebesic at 3:30.
Come join us at the Step-Up Dance this Friday, June 6th from 6:30-8:30. It is to help benefit the Maine Greyhound Placement Service. There’s going to be a Moon Bounce, and Mini Melts ice cream, as well as a movie. There will be a DJ and lots of great food, including the bake sale in the cafeteria. You may even get to be filmed to be on TV. The cost is only $5.00, and tickets should be bought at lunchtime on Friday so that you can be one of the first in to try the Moon Bounce, or enjoy the ice cream. This time you can even leave on your shoes. Come to have fun, and to meet some gentle greyhound dogs.
The girls’ 8th grade lacrosse team had a tough come back, but fought hard to beach Scarborough in an 11 to 10 victory. Goalies Ashley and Abby did a great job. Goals were scored by Allie, Lindsey, Alex, Abby, Shelby and Kali.
Reminder: the Special Olympians leave for UMO tomorrow at 12:25. Let’s be at the front door to give them a wonderful send off. Go for the gold!
