Cllubs
CRAFT CLUB-There will be Craft Club on Tuesday after school. We will be finishing painting for the STARS project and working on more jewelry for the craft fair fundraiser.
BAKUGAN CLUB-If you are interested in joining the Bakugan Club please sign up on the cafeteria window. If we can get enough interest and an adult advisor, we will begin a club. Listen for details.
iTeam-If you’re into technology then iTeam is for you. iTeam is an after school club that will specialize in computer created projects such as videos and slideshows. We will also be learning how to run the T.V. studio in the building. If this sounds like something that interests you, join us. Sign ups will be this week. Look for a sign up sheet outside of the cafeteria. First meeting will be held soon.
PING PONG CLUB-We are looking to begin a ping pong club that would be on Thursday afternoons. Anyone interested in joining, please sign up on the cafeteria wall.

OUTHERN MAINE MATH LEAGUE-MATH TEAM- Any 7th or 8th grader who would like to join the Math Team in Gorham Middle School is welcome to come to the Tuesday morning practices held from 7:00 am to 7:30 am in room A200. We meet as a team and work on higher math concepts, skills and strategies to become better with math, but also to compete in the Southern Maine Math League. This league is a competition league consisting of several schools throughout Maine and holds three competitions meets a year after school hours. Participation in the meets is on a first come first serve basis as the competition is limited to only 6 students in the 7th grade team and 6 students in the 8th grade team. NATIONAL HISTORY DAY-Congratulations to Ms. Rubin! She correctly guessed “Liza Minelli” as Marilyn Monroe in the National History Day contest! A prize basket is on its way up to you!
There will be an 8th grade National History Day Info meeting today at the beginning of SSR in the 8th grade common area for those interested. The meeting should last about 10 minutes. 6th graders interested will meet after lunch in their common area today.
