Sports
FIELD HOCKEY-The 8th grade field hockey team won their 3rd straight game on Tuesday defeating Bonny Eagle 5-1. The entire team played an outstanding game. Shannon Secord scored 4 goals and Evelyn Viernes also put one in. Patty Smith and Lydia Storey both did a fabulous job in goal. Great job girls. Away game today at Windham.
BOYS SOCCER-Congratulations to the 7th grade boys soccer team who battled Scarborough to a 0-0 tie yesterday. Teamwork and aggressive play by the whole team helped keep Scarborough guessing and looking for answers. Corey Harmon and Matt Melton played great in goal as they recorded our second shut out of the season. The Rams are currently 1-0-1. Practice today 2:30-4:00
CROSS COUNTRY-Congratulations to all cross country runners. Both boys and girls won their meets. Alex Thuotte coming in first, Jackson Marshall coming in first, Ashley Woodbury coming in 7th & Chandler Reagen coming in 9th. Congrats to all runners. Practice today.
GIRLS SOCCER-An epic battle was fought on the spacious greens of Scarborough yesterday resulting in a 1-1 tie staring the 7th grade girls soccer team. Hi-lites include a point scored by Morgan “Cool As A Cucumber” Cushing assisted by Abbie “The Speeding Cabby” Laporte. The Red Storm’s shots-on-goal were strong, but not enough to overpower Olivia “The Wall” Curtis and Emily “The Fortress” DeLuca who shared goalie duties. In fact, Jess “No Mess” Rexrode took part in an ESPN-worthy save when the Red Storm offense was piling on Curtis all at once.
Incredible job to ALL the 7th grade Lady Rams.
