Students are reminded that we have a concert tomorrow. Please be here at 6:30 if you are not playing with the beginners.

Chorus-8th Graders auditioning for Chamber Singers should go to the after school prep class at the High School today. See Miss Wheeler for details.

8th Grade Celebration-The 8th Grade Celebration will be held at GMS in the gym on Thursday, June 18th. Seating for families will be limited and will be contained to the bleachers on either side of the gym. Handicap seating will be offered for those in need.

As with all school events, the GMS dress code will apply to the 8th grade celebration. At a minimum, we request collared shirts and long pants for the gentlemen and dresses of appropriate length and "coverage" for the ladies.

As people are entering, the 8th slide show will be running.
We will begin promptly at 6:00pm!

8th Grade Celebration Slide Show Pictures-8th Graders!! Don’t forget to send in your baby pictures for the celebration slide show. Have your parents e-mail them to Mrs. Joyce at pattij@gorhamschools.org OR Mrs. Ross at paular@gorhamschools.org You can also bring them in and Mrs. Smutz will scan them for you. Have them in by Friday, June 5th!

Crazy Hat Day-Attention everyone:

The last crazy hat day of the 09 school year will be
Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2nd!

Bring in a dollar and your crazy or not-so-crazy hat (appropriate of course) and join the 8th grade in the official countdown to the end of school.

It’s that easy. June 2nd, $1.00…..and the countdown begins.
Student Council-Last Student Council meeting today!
Come to help celebrate all your great work this year. Bring a snack that you would like to share.

Step-Up Dance-Gorham Middle School would like to invite the incoming 6th graders to their second annual Step Up Dance Friday, June 5th from 7:00-9:00. The event is to help raise awareness of the Maine Greyhound Placement Service. There’s going to be a Moon Bounce, and Mini Melts ice cream, as well as a movie. There will be a DJ and lots of great food, especially with the bake sale in the cafeteria. The cost is only $5.00 Come and have fun, and meet some Greyhounds!!

Bake sale items are needed and may be brought to the Middle School on Thursday or Friday. All proceeds from the bake sale and ice cream sales will benefit the greyhounds.

Library-All library books need to be returned by this Friday, June 5th!
Spring Sports Awards Night-June 10th @ 6:00PM at the GMS Auditorium. Athletes must be dressed up!!!
Movie Club-There will be movie club on Tuesday and Thursday this week.
