Attention ALL Staff-The GDI house will be performing their vehicle races this Friday in the back teacher’s parking lot. They have worked hard on this project and need to ask all staff on this Friday to park in the front parking lot. Thanks for helping with this request. The school is invited for this race day. All interested please report to the back parking lot at 10:00am on Friday.

8th Grade Celebration-The 8th Grade Celebration will be held at GMS in the gym on Thursday, June 18th. Seating for families will be limited and will be contained to the bleachers on either side of the gym. Handicap seating will be offered for those in need.
As with all school events, the GMS dress code will apply to the 8th grade celebration. At a minimum, we request collared shirts and long pants for the gentlemen and dresses of appropriate length and "coverage" for the ladies.
As people are entering, the 8th slide show will be running.
We will begin promptly at 6:00pm!
8th Grade Celebration Slide Show Pictures-8th Graders!! Don’t forget to send in your baby pictures for the celebration slide show. Have your parents e-mail them to Mrs. Joyce at pattij@gorhamschools.org OR Mrs. Ross at paular@gorhamschools.org You can also bring them in and Mrs. Smutz will scan them for you. Have them in by Friday, June 5th!
Step-Up Dance-Gorham Middle School would like to invite the incoming 6th graders to their second annual Step Up Dance Friday, June 5th from 7:00-9:00. The event is to help raise awareness of the Maine Greyhound Placement Service. There’s going to be a Moon Bounce, and Mini Melts ice cream, as well as a movie. There will be a DJ and lots of great food, especially with the bake sale in the cafeteria. The cost is only $5.00 Come and have fun, and meet some Greyhounds!!
Bake sale items are needed and may be brought to the Middle School on Thursday or Friday. All proceeds from the bake sale and ice cream sales will benefit the greyhounds.

Library-All library books need to be returned by this Friday, June 5th!
Spring Sports Awards Night-June 10th @ 6:00PM at the GMS Auditorium. Athletes must be dressed up!!!
Movie Club-There will be movie club Tuesday (today) and Thursday this week.
Girls Lacrosse-The game for today has been moved to tomorrow. There will be practice today for BOTH 7th & 8th graders 2:30-3:30!
Boys Lacrosse-The game for today has been changed to tomorrow against So. Portland. There is regular practice after school today.
7th Grade Softball-Our 7th grade softball team has a spectacular win against Scarborough yesterday, 9-4. Runs were scored by Lauren Stiles, Abbie Laporte, Emily DeLuca, Sam Robinson, Jessica Rexrode, KatelynWilson, and Paige Lara. Great pitching from Courtney Roberts and Katelyn Wilson. Great job girls. Practice today @ Village @ 3:30!
