Attention ALL Staff-The GDI house will be performing their vehicle races this Friday in the back teacher’s parking lot. They have worked hard on this project and need to ask all staff on this Friday to park in the front parking lot. Thanks for helping with this request. The school is invited for this race day. All interested please report to the back parking lot at 10:00am on Friday.

Band-Congratulations to the Middle School Concert Band & Jazz Band! Great concert last night!

Students need to turn in their music as soon as possible.
Students can come during their scheduled lesson time to sort and put away music.

11:15 Mini Wind Ensemble during tutorial today.

8th Grade Celebration-The 8th Grade Celebration will be held at GMS in the gym on Thursday, June 18th. Seating for families will be limited and will be contained to the bleachers on either side of the gym. Handicap seating will be offered for those in need.

As with all school events, the GMS dress code will apply to the 8th grade celebration. At a minimum, we request collared shirts and long pants for the gentlemen and dresses of appropriate length and "coverage" for the ladies.

As people are entering, the 8th slide show will be running.
We will begin promptly at 6:00pm!

8th Grade Celebration Slide Show Pictures-8th Graders!! Don’t forget to send in your baby pictures for the celebration slide show. Have your parents e-mail them to Mrs. Joyce at pattij@gorhamschools.org OR Mrs. Ross at paular@gorhamschools.org You can also bring them in and Mrs. Smutz will scan them for you. All original pictures turned in to Mrs. Smutz will be returned. Have them in by June 5th at the very latest!

An update from Mrs. Smutz: I need 66 more pictures to have 100% participation from the 8th graders. Mr. Wilkinson’s homeroom is almost there – only three more pictures are needed! Mrs. Coyne’s homeroom is in second place – only four more pictures are needed from them. The deadline is Friday!

Step-Up Dance-Gorham Middle School would like to invite the incoming 6th graders to their second annual Step Up Dance Friday, June 5th from 7:00-9:00. The event is to help raise awareness of the Maine Greyhound Placement Service. There’s going to be a Moon Bounce, and Mini Melts ice cream, as well as a movie. There will be a DJ and lots of great food, especially with the bake sale in the cafeteria. The cost is only $5.00 Come and have fun, and meet some Greyhounds!!

Bake sale items are needed and may be brought to the Middle School on Thursday or Friday. All proceeds from the bake sale and ice cream sales will benefit the greyhounds.

Library-The Library will be closing next Wednesday, June 10th for inventory. All students are asked to return books by this Friday, June 5th!
Spring Sports Awards Night-June 10th @ 6:00PM at the GMS Auditorium. Athletes must be dressed up!!!
Movie Club-There will be movie club on Thursday.
