DANCE
Please join us for the LAST DANCE of the 2009 year!! This Friday, Dec. 18th from 6:00 to 8:00. These are new times based on everyone’s busy holiday schedules. The dance is sponsored by the Eighth Grade and we would love to see all our 6th and 7th grade friends join us for a wonderful dance!! This will be a great way to get ready for our holiday vacation by spending time with friends and having a good time. Tickets will be pre-sold at lunch time on Friday. Thanks so much!!

CHORUS
There is Chorus after school today in the auditorium from 2:30-4:00. Please see Ms. Wheeler today if you can’t make it. CHORUS CONCERT is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 16th. (Please note the original date was for Tuesday, but it has been changed to Wednesday along with the Band Concert).

BAND
Reminder to Band students that we have a concert Wednesday, Dec. 16th. Village School Band will perform at 5:30. Village School students need to be at school by 5:00. Dress nicely!

Gorham Middle School concert will start at 7:00. GMS students need to be at school by 6:30. Dress for GMS is black and white. Guys need a white dress shirt and tie. Ladies, white on top and black on bottom.

SPRING HARBOR HOSPITAL
Spring Harbor Hospital Stocking Drive starts today please help to support the adolescents at the hospital during the holiday season by bringing in gifts for your homeroom stockings. A list has been posted with each stocking. Stockings will be collected next Friday.

ROBOTICS COMPETITION
This weekend a team from Gorham Middle School competed against 50 other teams in the state-wide Robotics Competition in Augusta. Our team won the first place technical award for robot design. Their robot was chosen because of their creative use of sensors, motors, and overall construction. Congratulations go to Joseph Martin, Gareth Packard, Elliott Twilley, Coleman Dowdle and Colin Gotchlich for their hard work and for bringing this 1st place trophy back to our school. Great job!!

BUILDERS CLUB
Don’t forget the first meeting of a new club at GMS. The Builder’s Club is a service club. Want to know more? Come to our meeting on Tuesday after school in Mr. Chidsey’s room in the 7th grade wing.

STUDENT COUNCIL
Student Council is meeting after school today in the cafeteria.

CHEERING
Cheering practice is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday 2:30-4:00.

iTEAM
There is not a regular iTeam meeting today. The only students that should stay after are the people that Mrs. Joyce needs to film GNN segments.

HISTORY DAY
There will be a short meeting of all History Day participants on Thursday morning in room B106! Please bring registration forms!

FLOOR HOCKEY
A reminder that there is Floor Hockey today directly after school.

TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS
The Student Council will be having the last auditions for the Talent Show in January. If you are planning on being part of this showcase and you have not already done so, you must audition today after school in the Ping Pong Room. Contact Mrs. McAtee if there are any questions you have on this.
